What is the Section 3 Threshold for HCD-Funded Projects? (2026 Update)

On February 13, 2026, HUD published an update to the Section 3 project threshold in the Federal Register.


Section 3 now applies to Housing and Community Development (HCD) projects where the amount of HUD assistance exceeds $300,000 (effective March 16, 2026).
